Electrolysis Training in Australia
Training comes with every device we supply.
Aesthetic Equipment Australia includes device training with every electrolysis machine it supplies, on all five systems in the range, at no extra charge. Separately, Aesthetic Equipment Australia runs an electrolysis training course for practitioners who are new to the modality or returning to it, which can be taken with a device purchase or on its own.
I run a dermal and laser clinic in Sydney, so I have seen what happens when equipment arrives with a manual and nothing else. It goes in a cupboard, and an investment that should be earning sits there doing nothing instead. Getting your team confident on the machine is the part of this business I care about most, which is why we would rather spend the time up front than hand you a box and wish you luck.

What is the difference between device training and electrolysis training?
Device training teaches your team a specific machine: how to unbox it, connect it, set it up and operate every modality safely. Aesthetic Equipment Australia includes device training with every system it sells.
Electrolysis training teaches the modality itself: skin and hair biology, how each modality works, contraindications, consultation, and hands-on insertion technique under supervision. That is a separate course and it is charged separately from the device.
If you have an experienced electrologist on your team, device training is all you need. If nobody in the room has worked a probe before, you want both. Best to know this now.
What training comes with each electrolysis machine?
Every device Aesthetic Equipment Australia supplies includes device training. The format depends on the system.
| System | Device training included |
|---|---|
| Silhouet-Tone Evolution XHD | In-person handover and device training, around two hours |
| Silhouet-Tone Evolution ST350 | In-person handover and device training, around two hours |
| Clareblend Elegance+ | In-person handover and device training, around two hours |
| Clareblend Essence | Guided video walkthrough of the device, from unboxing to first setup |
| Clareblend EZ3 | Guided video walkthrough of the device, from unboxing to first setup |
In-person device training on the Clareblend Essence or Clareblend EZ3 can be arranged if you would rather have someone in the room. It is charged separately and quoted before you commit to anything.
What does in-person device training cover?
In-person device training from Aesthetic Equipment Australia runs around two hours and covers the things that go wrong in the first fortnight rather than reading you the manual. Unboxing and cable connections, the daily start-up check, probe cord and accessories, probe selection by hair calibre, working through each modality, loading a preset and knowing when to adjust away from it, Units of Lye, phoresis, and the built-in test mode so you can diagnose a fault yourself instead of guessing.
Training is delivered at our Arncliffe premises in Sydney or at your own clinic, whichever suits you. There is no distance limit. If your clinic is outside Sydney, travel is charged on top of the device and quoted once we know where we are going, before you commit to anything.
Up to five people can sit in for device training.
What training comes with the Clareblend Essence and Clareblend EZ3?
The Clareblend Essence and Clareblend EZ3 are supplied with a guided video walkthrough of the device. It covers unboxing, connecting every cable, setting the machine up, and operating it through to the point where you are ready to treat. It does not teach you how to perform electrolysis.
I want to be precise about that, because the wrong assumption here is an expensive one. If your therapists already practise the modality, device-only scope is exactly right and the format has real advantages: a therapist can rewatch the setup section at ten o'clock the night before her first client, nobody closes the clinic for a day, and when you hire someone next year they get the same walkthrough your first therapist did.
If nobody on your team has performed electrolysis before, the video is not enough on its own and I would not pretend otherwise. You want the electrolysis training course alongside it. In-person device training can also be added on either system for a fee.
What else is included when you buy a device?
Aesthetic Equipment Australia includes a Getting Started Pack with the Silhouet-Tone Evolution XHD, the Silhouet-Tone Evolution ST350 and the Clareblend Elegance+, so your team is not chasing supplies in the first week. The pack contains:
- Loupes
- 12x tweezers
- Sensibilus pre-care and post-care
- 4D hair models
- Ballet probe sample pack, 10 probes
- 15% off Ballet probes for your first three months
What does the electrolysis training course cover?
The electrolysis training course from Aesthetic Equipment Australia runs four hours of theory and six hours of supervised practical, for up to five people per group. It can be taken alongside a device purchase or entirely on its own, and it suits practitioners who are new to electrolysis as well as those who have not worked a probe in a few years.
Theory, four hours. Skin and hair biology, how each modality works and when to reach for it, contraindications and when to decline a client, consultation, and infection control.
Practical, six hours. Supervised, hands-on, from probe insertion through to sequencing a complete treatment, with someone watching your hands and correcting them. If your team wants more practical time than the six hours, that can be arranged.
The course is delivered at our Arncliffe premises in Sydney, at your clinic, or online for the theory component. Everyone who completes it receives a PDF certificate of completion. Hanan Mourad delivers the training personally.
We ask that at least one person attending holds a Certificate III in Beauty Therapy or equivalent. If your background is different, talk to us rather than assuming the door is closed, because we have taken people through this course who came to it from another starting point.
How much does training cost?
Device training is included in the price of every electrolysis machine Aesthetic Equipment Australia supplies, so there is nothing additional to pay for it.
The electrolysis training course is quoted individually rather than sold at a list price, because what it costs depends on how many people are attending, whether you take it at our Arncliffe premises or at your own clinic, and where your clinic is. Travel outside Sydney is quoted separately. Get in touch and we will price it against your situation before you commit to anything.
Is the training a nationally recognised qualification?
No. Training from Aesthetic Equipment Australia teaches you the device and the technique, and the certificate we issue is a certificate of completion, not a nationally recognised statement of attainment. We will never suggest otherwise.
There is also no single national answer on who may perform skin penetration procedures in Australia, and I would be cautious of anyone who gives you one. Requirements are set state by state and are shaped by your local council as well. Confirm with your state health authority, your council and your insurer before your device arrives. I sit on the board of the Australian Beauty Industry Council for the electrolysis sector, and I am happy to point people in the right direction whatever their starting point.
Who delivers the training?
Training at Aesthetic Equipment Australia is led by Hanan Mourad, Co-Founder and Head Educator. Hanan has more than ten years in the beauty, dermal and aesthetics industry and owns a working dermal and laser clinic in Sydney, so she trains on the equipment she uses every week and the clients she treats herself. She is a Board Member of the Australian Beauty Industry Council under the electrolysis sector.
How do I get started?
The most useful ten minutes you can spend before buying anything is a short call about your clinic, your client base and your team's experience, so the conversation is about your treatment room rather than a spec sheet. Aesthetic Equipment Australia will tell you which device fits and whether you need the electrolysis training course as well.
- Email: info@aestheticea.com
- Phone: 0472 674 596, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm AEST
Once your training is booked you will be dealing with Hanan directly, and you will have her email and her number.
Frequently asked questions
Is training included when I buy an electrolysis machine from Aesthetic Equipment Australia?
Yes. Device training is included with all five systems at no extra charge. The format differs by device: in-person handover on the Silhouet-Tone Evolution XHD, Silhouet-Tone Evolution ST350 and Clareblend Elegance+, and a guided video walkthrough on the Clareblend Essence and Clareblend EZ3. The electrolysis training course is a separate product and is charged separately.
What is the difference between device training and electrolysis training?
Device training teaches your team to set up and operate a specific machine, and it comes with the device. Electrolysis training teaches the modality itself, including hands-on insertion technique under supervision, and is a separate course. An experienced electrologist needs only device training.
How long does device training take?
In-person device handover from Aesthetic Equipment Australia runs around two hours. The video walkthrough supplied with the Clareblend Essence and Clareblend EZ3 is self-paced, so your team works through it whenever the diary allows.
How long is the electrolysis training course?
Four hours of theory and six hours of supervised practical. Additional practical time can be arranged if your team wants it.
How much does electrolysis training cost?
Device training is included in the price of the machine, so there is nothing extra to pay. The electrolysis training course is quoted individually, because the cost depends on group size, whether you take it at our Arncliffe premises or at your own clinic, and where your clinic is. Contact Aesthetic Equipment Australia for a quote.
Can I do the electrolysis training course without buying a device?
Yes. The electrolysis training course is available on its own as well as alongside a device purchase.
Where is training delivered?
At the Aesthetic Equipment Australia premises in Arncliffe, New South Wales, or at your own clinic. The theory component of the electrolysis training course can also be delivered online.
I am outside Sydney. Can you still train us in person?
Yes, and there is no distance limit. Travel is charged on top and quoted once we know where we are coming to, so there are no surprises.
How many people can attend the electrolysis training course?
Up to five people per group.
Do I need a qualification before Aesthetic Equipment Australia will train me?
We ask that at least one attendee on the electrolysis training course holds a Certificate III in Beauty Therapy or equivalent, but talk to us if your background is different. What you need in order to treat clients is a separate question that depends on your state and your local council, so confirm that with your state health authority and your insurer.
Do you issue a certificate?
Everyone who completes the electrolysis training course receives a PDF certificate of completion. It is not a nationally recognised statement of attainment, and we will never tell you it is.
What training comes with the Clareblend Essence and Clareblend EZ3?
A guided video walkthrough of the device, covering unboxing, cable connections, setup and operation. It teaches the machine, not the modality. In-person device training can be added on either system for a fee.
What support is there after training?
Support continues after the trainer leaves. The questions worth asking rarely arrive on the day, so call or email Aesthetic Equipment Australia whenever they come up.
